Making Disciples in Northumberland
Our services are (usually) every Sunday at 10:30am and last about an hour. You can find us on Beaumont Street in the centre of Hexham, right between the Queen's Hall and the Beaumont Hotel. Here is a map. On street parking is free on Sundays. You can see us if you have Google Earth.
Whether you are a long established Christian, new in the faith, or you don't believe at all, Trinity is the kind of place where you can grow as a person. We see our task as "Making Disciples of Jesus Christ" and wherever you are on your discipleship journey, we have lots of resources to help you move forward.
As Christians we are always trying to find new ways of presenting the Good News about Jesus Christ. We offer a wide range of activities for all ages starting with Christianity Explored for those who want a look at the "basics" of Christianity, but then leading on to housegroups for discussion which we have every day of the working week. There are also prayer groups, music group, worship group, puppets and children's groups. Every year we run a cross-generational mentoring course as part of our process for teenagers joining the church, which culminates in December. We welcomed a group of 11 new members in December 2007 and a further 5 in March 2008. There is also a waiting list for those wanting to join the church officially. On Sunday evenings at 6pm we alternate services with West End Methodist Church, and we have a youth fellowship for Year 9 and above during term time. On the fourth Sunday of the month we have a "Prayer, Praise & Ministry" service at 7:15pm. We also work with local schools. Check out this week's goings on in the Church Newsletter: Trinity Times Page One and Trinity Times Page Two. We have information packs to download if you are thinking about marriage or baptism. |
